Small Business Outreach
Small businesses are typically started by people who have a technical skill in either a service or trade. Oftentimes, they don’t have a background in accounting. While being specialized gives your potential customers the confidence to do business with you and purchase your product or service, you still need to have an understanding of what happens underneath it all.
What is Small Business Outreach?
Each week, we will offer a free, one-time, 30-minute Zoom call to two different local small businesses to go over their QuickBooks Online account. As we are providing this free outreach service to our local small business community, you MUST be:
- A single-location small business located in Cape May County, NJ
- Have less than $100,000 in annual revenue
We will look over your financial statements and provide you with some useful information regarding the presentation of your books. We will also give you some suggestions for improving bookkeeping tasks so that you can get the most out of your financial statements.
Is This Program For Me?
If you are not confident that you are doing your bookkeeping correctly then this program is for you! There are three main financial statements that every business should pull at least monthly. If you do not have your accounts mapped correctly then they will not appear in the correct places on your financial statements and you will not have accurate information. This can be a huge problem when making decisions and also will be problematic when your accountant or tax preparer files your tax return.
These free, one-time, 30-minute Zoom calls are being provided to only two local small businesses each week because we have to service our existing clients. Who We Are
Cape May Counting House is a virtual bookkeeping firm. We work with small business clients to handle their monthly bookkeeping, do their bank and credit card reconciliations, or even clean up their books. We understand that accounting can be intimidating but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do your best to understand what is happening with your business. This is why we created this outreach program – to help small businesses get some feedback on their bookkeeping and to highlight areas of concern.
